Winnie was a radiant spirit whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She had a passion for baking and cooking, filling our lives with delightful smells of her kitchen. Her homemade cookies, pies and delicious meals brought joy to all our family gatherings, creating memories that will last us a lifetime. She was also an avid quilter, hand crafting beautiful quilts that we will cherish forever.
One of Winnie's greatest joys was taking drives with her husband, Harold. Together they explored every little nook and crany in Newfoundland and lots of places across Canada. Their love for spending time together was a shining example for their children of how a partnership should be.
Winnie could find joy in the toughest of times. She loved to have a laugh and loved to make everyone else laugh with her. Her smile was infectious and beautiful. She will be deeply missed by everyone.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the many staff at North Haven Manor for their outstanding care of our mother, so many beautiful people who have made our moms days a lot brighter. We are grateful for you all. Thank you.
