Passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the New Wes Valley Hospital, Mr. Wilson Eli John Wells, age 78 years.
Wilson Eli John Wells was born to Solomon and Sylvia Wells in Change Islands, NL on August 20th, 1936. He had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He married Phyllis Wells on September 4, 1956 in Change Islands and his first child, Ruth, was born the following year. Jim, Lorraine and Aubrey were also born in Change Islands, after which time the family moved to Joe Batt's Arm where Dianne was born. The family then moved to St. Anthony on December 31, 1969 where their sixth and final child, Chris, was born 7 years later. Wilson's family grew further over the years with 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Wilson and Phyllis moved to Lewisporte, NL in 2008.
Wilson was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time hunting, fishing and with his family. He always worked hard and was a proud provider for his family. He was a soft-spoken man who was very devoted to his family and his wife, whom he dearly loved. Wilson was also a talented musician who could play almost any instrument including the guitar, fiddle, accordion, harmonica, piano, mandolin and the banjo. He was a very kind and generous person, always putting his children's needs before his own. He loved having fun and was known to close family and friends for his wit and humor.
He will be remembered by all for his devotion to his family, his many talents, his sharp wit, and his unwavering love for his wife, Phyllis.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte, on Thursday, February 26th from 7-9 PM.
A private funeral service for family will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home on Friday, February 27th.
