With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wilfred George Hillier at the age of 86 years.

Leaving to mourn his wife, Meta; daughters, Debbie, Kathy (Gary), Irene (Paul), Julie (Bruce), Connie (Damian); he will be missed by his sisters, Shelia Porter and Margaret Lefrense; brother, Lloyd (Isabel); 9 grandchildren: 13 great- grandchildren, 4 great- great- grandchildren as well as a large circle of family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Edwin & Irene; brother, Stanley; granddaughter, Degera.

So many people in his life always seemed to gravitate toward him, adults, children, babies and even pets. He definitely had a special attraction and was loved by many.

The public visitation will take place Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.

The funeral service will take place from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte, NL on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Brown's Arm, NL, his final resting spot.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Brown's Arm, NL. He has been paying into that fund for many years.

The family would like to express appreciation to the North Haven Manor Long Term Care and Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home staff, for all the care you gave and to everyone who helped us get through the loss.
