Passed peacefully away on October 18,2018 at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's, NL surrounded by his loving family, Walter Oliver Muggridge, formerly of Lewisporte,aged 83 years. Past Provincial Grand Master of the Grand Black Chapter of NL.

He is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary Ann; sisters, Elizabeth,Annie and Martha, and brothers, James and Raymond.

Leaving to mourn,but with cherished memories, his wife of 56 years, Doris; daughter, Janice (Bruce Holwell), son, Jeff (Deanna Ellsworth); grandchildren, Samantha, Jordyn, Alexander and Andrew, all of CBS as well as a large circle of in-laws, other relatives and friends.

The family is very grateful to the staff of Unit 2 at Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia and 2 East at St. Patrick's Mercy Home for the professional and loving care he received during his short stays.

The public visitation took place Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 7-9pm and Monday October 22, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.

The funeral took place Tuesday,  October 23,2018 at 2:00pm from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte, NL. The interment followed at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory were made to St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery Fund, Lewisporte, NL or the Alzheimer's Society of NL.
