With deep sadness and profound love, we the family of the late Wallace Nippard, announce his peaceful passing at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on February 10, 2026, at the great age of 93. Though our hearts ache in his absence, we are so very grateful for the long, full life he lived and the love he gave so freely to all of us.

Wallace was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Netta Nippard; brothers, Heber, Uriel, Harry, Harvey, Bert (Berney), Donald & Calvin; sister, Violet; father and mother-in-law, Levi and Marcella Harbin; siblings-in-law, Scott, Gordon, Howard, Shirley, Pearl, Edna & Fanny; Son-in-law, Perry and daughter-in-law, Trudy. We take comfort in knowing he has been reunited with those he missed.

Left to mourn, yet forever grateful to have been loved by him, are his devoted wife of 68 years, Gladys — the love of his life and his constant companion — along with his sons, Derrick, Tony and Allan (Karla) and his daughter, Wavey (Enos).

Also left to mourn are his grandchildren, Perry Jr. (Jennifer), Stephanie, Terry (Marsha), Ashley (Danny), Tyson (Victoria), Krisinda (Josh), Richard (Aleesha), William (Lexi) and Faith (Jared);  great-grandchildren, Chloe, Deacon, Jackson, Jacob, Thomas, Levi, Nora, Ariel, Mylah, Eleanor and Jayne; sisters, Bessie and Evelyn; sister-in-law, Gladys and extended family, and a wide circle of treasured friends. Each of us carries a piece of him in our hearts.

We're remembering a wonderful husband, dad, and pop who meant the world to his family. He was married to his wife, Gladys for 68 years — his marriage was built on devotion, respect, laughter, and unwavering commitment. For nearly seven decades, they walked side by side through life's joys and challenges, showing all of us what real love looks like — patient, faithful, and enduring.

Family was everything to him. He was proud of his kids, adored his grandkids, and cherished his friendships. He loved a good laugh, good music, and good company. He loved everyone, and everyone who knew him felt that love right back, always making everyone feel welcomed and valued.

He worked hard his entire life and believed in the value of an honest day's work, building a life one log, bridge or home at a time to take care of his family. Taking care of others just came naturally to him — even as a young man, he stepped up to help care for his mom, and he never stopped looking out for the people he loved. He was strong in every way that mattered — steady, dependable, and full of heart.  He led by example with quiet strength.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know him, but the stories, the laughter, and the love he gave will stay with us always.

Public visitation will take place from Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander, NL on Thursday, February 12th,  2026 at 2PM-4PM.

The funeral service will take place from Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander, NL on Friday, February 13th,  2026 at 2PM. The interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Clarke's Head, NL.
