Obituary

Passed away peacefully at James Paton Memorial hospital Friday March 25, 2022 at the age of 97. Predeceased by parents; William and Amy, Husband; Hilary, Son; Rick, Granddaughter; April, Sister; Joan, Brother; Maxwell, Sister and brother-in-law; Madge and Ray, brother and sister-in-law; Harris and Alfreda, Son-in-law; Clarence. Mother and Father-in-law; Eliza and Edward, Sister and Brother-in-laws; Bessy and Sidney, Greta and Harold, Emma and Henry, Sister-in-law; Millie.

Left to mourn with love and fond memories, Daughter; Shirley, Son; Hilary, Grandchildren; Jason, Michael, Susan and Albert, Great-Grandchildren; Aiden, Lorianie and Elijah, Sister; Sadie, Sister and Brother-in-law; Olga and Claude, Brother and Sister-in-law; Leslie and Bridget, Brother-in-law; Edward as well as wide circle of friends and extended family.

Vivian was born in Cottrell's Cove and later moved to Greenspond after marrying Hilary. In 1955 the family moved to Lewisporte where Vivan found her home on Russann Street. Here she spent many years raising her family and developing friendships with neighbors on the street who would become like family. These ties of love and friendship lasted her entire life.Vivian loved to volunteer and was involved with the Lewisporte Interfaith Goodwill, North Haven Manor and Pleasantview Manor where she spent 10 years.

Heartfelt thanks to those who visited Vivian in the hospital during her extended illness. Roland Hewitt, Gertie Mills, Mary-Lou Penney (Hill), Verna Manual, Jessie Parsons and many more who kept up Vivian's spirits in her final days.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Monday, March 28 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM.

The funeral service will take place from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte, NL on Tuesday, March 29 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church Roofing Fund will be gratefully accepted.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
