Passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the University Hospital in Edmonton, AB, Mrs. Violet Thursa Martin, age 86 years, of Lewisporte, NL.

She is predeceased by her husband, Bob of 65 years; son, Roger; granddaughter, Sarah; grandson, Danny.

Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Vincent (Mary), Lt. Colonel Larry (Lt. Colonel Velma), Bonnie (Ralph), Linda (Emmitt), Barry (Linda), Terry (Melvie), Jackie (Randy), Shawn (Darla), Nancy (Paul), Maxwell (Valerie), Pamela (Bert), Deanne (Raymond), Maurice (Quianeata); 33 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will took from the Salvation Army Citadel in Lewisporte, NL on Friday, September 18th at 2 PM. Interment will follow from the Salvation Army Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation was gratefully accepted.
