Passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Health Sciences Center, St. John's, NL, Violet Verbena Hill, age 56 years.

She is predeceased by her mother, Ada Nippard; brother, Brian Nippard and niece, Susan Nippard. Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her husband, Valine Hill; daughters, Angela Nippard (Bernard), Mary Ellen Blackmore (Matthew);grandchildren, Kierra (Zach), KJ, Nicholas and Michael; great-grandchildren, Jersey and Jaxton; father, Herman Nippard (Pearl); brothers, Raymond (Madeline), Harold (Liz), Wilson (Fronie), Glen (Diane), Lloyd (Marlene), Albert (Vicki), Jeff (Diane); sisters, Ellen (Eric) and Mary (Trini); brother-in-law, Gary Hill (Betty); sister-in-law, Johanna Ford; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.

Public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 172 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL (The Old Lab and X-Ray Building) on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 7-9 PM and Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service took place from the Salvation Army Church, Lewisporte, NL on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 2 PM. Interment followed from the Community Cemetery in Embree, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Embree Cemetery Fund or the Children's Wish Foundation was gratefully accepted.
