Passed peacefully away on October 24, 2020, Victor G. Baker, retired businessman of Botwood and Lewisporte, aged 103 years, after a long, happy and fulfilling life.

Uncle Vic, as he was known by most, was predeceased by his wife Mary (Woolfrey) and his only child and devoted son Max, and by his brothers and sisters, Pearl (Harry) Newhook, Amy (Ford) Dart, Frank (Vera) Baker, Jack (Netta) Baker and Maxwell (Eva) Baker.

Leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces and nephews from the Baker side of his family, being Robert (Maude) Newhook, Amy (Jack) Burden, Gerald (Vera) Baker, Audrey (George) Rowsell, Bruce (Bonnie) Baker, Lynne (Harold) Reid, Anne (Angus) Newman, John (Wendy) Baker, Leslie Ellen Baker and Katherine Baker, and a large circle of nieces and nephews from the Woolfrey side of his family, being Gerald (Mabel) Woolfrey, Herbert Woolfrey, Bruce (Phyllis) Woolfrey, Kay (Clive) Cuff and Iris (Randy) Partridge, special friends Doreen Moyles, Alfreda & Jim Martin, Verna Manuel and cousin Linda Roberts, his extended family of staff at Pleasantview Manor, who took such good care of him for many years, and the congregation of St. Matthews United Church in Lewisporte.

Resting at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home in Lewisporte, NL where visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 1-4 pm following COVID-19 government regulations.

The funeral service will be held at St. Matthew's United Church in Lewisporte, NL on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 2 pm by invite only, with interment to follow at St. Matthew's United Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL. For those who are not able to attend, the service will be live streamed on the Lewisporte Pastoral Charge Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Matthew's United Church Cemetery Fund.
