Passed away in the presence of his loving family in the town where he was born and lived his whole life, Sid Manuel, after a brief illness.

Sid was predeceased by his parents, George and Maud Manuel; in-laws Cecil and Meda Simms; brothers, Harold and Roy; brother-in-law, Eric Simms, and nephew, Troy Manuel.

Left to mourn are his loving wife, of 62 years, Verna; daughter, Shelley and her husband Dave; son, Stephen and his wife Elizabeth.  Sid was loved and will especially be missed by his grandchildren, Alex (Neeve), Sydney (Sam), and Michael.  Also mourning him will be his sisters-in-law, Margaret Manuel, Fannie Simms and Noreen Manuel, a number of nieces and nephews, a large circle of very faithful friends, especially Joan Hoffe, also including many former co-workers from Blue Buoy Foods.

Public visitation will take place at St. Matthew's United Church, 120 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Saturday January 10th from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. Please use the parlour entrance.

Funeral service will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Sunday January 11 at 1:00pm, with Rev. Paula Gale officiating.  Inurnment will follow directly at St. Matthew's United Church Premier Drive Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, any donations graciously offered in his memory may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
