Passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Lewisporte Health Center, Lewisporte, NL, Mr. Scott Edward Hynes, aged 81 years.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his wife, Betty;  daughter, Wanda (Edward Pelley); son, Randy Hynes; grandchildren, Justin (Brittany), Chantelle and Taylor;  great-grandchildren, Kian, Kole and Kaylee;  brother, Melvin (Josephine) Hynes; sisters-in-law, Rhoda Hynes and Marjorie (Wendell Head) and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Maggie Hynes; son, Brian Hynes;  grandson, Lucas Porter; step-mother, Maude Hynes; siblings, Mabel (Ralph Reid), Wilbert Hynes, Pearl Hynes, Clyde Hynes and Shirley (Gord Johnston);mother-in-law and father-in-law, Annie and Alfred Waterman.

The public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 1-4 PM following COVID-19 government regulations.

The funeral service took place from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte, NL on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 4 PM for invited guests only.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lewisporte Fire Rescue will be gratefully accepted.
