Passed tragically away on August 27, 2017, Ms. Sarah Anne Stride, age 18 years.

Sarah Anne was one of a kind; her smile could light up a room. She was vivacious, fearless, always willing to try something new. She was fun-loving, caring and a champion for the special needs and less fortunate. Her love for animals was undeniable; her cat Hunter received more love and squishing than anyone else. She loved make up and fashion which caused storage issues in her closet. Sarah Anne was a lover of the arts... especially music and musical Theatre which she was a big part of at school.

Sarah-Anne was her brother's biggest fan. She spent countless hours at the hockey rink cheering, keeping score and getting money for the canteen. Sarah-Anne followed her dad and brother into the air cadet movement kicking and screaming because the uniform wasn't cool, but as soon as she got her uniform she was the first one out the door with the best pressed uniform and the best shined boots out of the Stride family. She achieved many awards for fundraising and her passion for helping the hungry by organizing and running a yearly food drive for the Share Program in British Columbia. Through the Air Cadet program Sarah-Anne developed friendships coast to coast.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Craig and Glenda Stride; Brother, Geoff; grandparents, Alonzo and Lucy Stride, Janet and Garry Sarmaga; aunts, Michelle (Mark)Schmitt, Tammy Coulter; cousins, Matthew and Aaron; her beloved cat Hunter and a large circle of family and friends.

The funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Church, Lewisporte, NL on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11am.

As expressions of sympathy donations in her memory may be made to the Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society (PARDS), Grande Prairie, AB.
