Passed peacefully away Ruby Blanche Burt of Lewisporte, NL at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL on February 23, 2025, age 89.

She was predeceased by her parents John & Gertrude Curtis; husband, Bramwell; sons, Wylie, Junior, Keith, Wade; daughter, Lisa; great-granddaughter, Tamara; great-grandson, Nathan; son-in-law, Ron Hodder; brothers, Wallace, Frank; sister-in-law, Audrey.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Jack (Juanita), Roland (Josephine), Margaret, Michelle (Bruce), Sherry; step son, Winston Burge (Paula); sister -in- law, Joy; 20 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; 1 great –great -grandchild; 4 step granddaughters and their families and a large circle of family and friends.

Mom was very active right up till the last night before going to the hospital. Mom loved life. She was always doing something, either knitting, sewing, cooking a meal and loved going on outings with her friends. Mom loved her family very much and she made sure that they all had a quilt to make them warm (of course made by her). Mom was faithful to her church and loved going to ladies night out, bible study, women's ministry and coffee house. Most of all mom loved her lord whom she is with today- Abiding in His Presence.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

The funeral service will take place from The Salvation Army Church, Lewisporte, NL on Friday February 28, 2025 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Campbellton, NL.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army Youth Group "Rock Solid" would be gratefully accepted.
