With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, uncle & brother, Ronald Clouston Freeman at the age of 84 years. He passed peacefully away after a short stay at the Carmelite House on January 4th, 2026.

He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Freeman (Beaton); his parents, Austin & Sophia (Butt) Freeman; parents- in-law, David & Jean (Goulding) Beaton; brother & wife, Owen & Audrey (Chaulk) Freeman; brother, Barry; step-mother, Carrie (Compton) Freeman; brother- in-law, Gordon Beaton; sister-in-law, Shirley (Sheppard) Freeman; also his  nephew, Roger Freeman who he spoke about often in his final days.

Leaving to mourn his daughter, Lisa; granddaughter Falien (Ryan); grandson, Kolby; great-grandsons, Emerson &Tanner; step-children, Daphne & Lew Guest, Christopher (Charmaine), Lori (Adam); brother, Frank (Katherine); sister, Marilyn (Frank), along with many nieces, nephews & friends many who shared his love of music.

Born in Norris Arm, Ron & Fran moved to Ontario with Ron being employed with Imperial Oil. Returning to Norris Arm to build a home & to start a successful business of 35 years, Central Electric. He was fondly referred to across the entire Island as the "Man who does the starters & alternators".

His passion was spending time at his cabin on Exploits Island with the sun & saltwater on his face. It was there he found his peace & true happiness, spending countless nights playing music & singing with friends & family. On many a night he walked up along shore guided by the moonlight, and the moonlight guided him on his final walk.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors & nurses on 2nd floor and the staff at the Carmelite House for the compassion & care shown on his short stay there.

We are deeply grateful for Tracy Stuckless, Ron & Fran's Healthcare Worker who became more like family over the years. Tracy was very dedicated to their care & showed them much kindness & love.

In keeping with Ron's wishes cremation, has taken place & a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers donations in his name can be make to the Palliative Care Unit at Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
