Obituary

Passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL,  Mr. Robert Reginald Rose, aged 93 years of Lewisporte, NL Robert Rose was one of the few remaining World War II Veterans who fought over seas and served in Britain and Europe.

A beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather Robert Reginald Rose led a life full of love and happiness. Having served in British Army in World War II, and then working as a Conductor with CN, he continued to live a full life spending many years in Florida in the Winter while still continuing to call Lewisporte home. He lived his life on his own terms up until he passed on Tuesday, August 27, four days before his 94 th birthday. In his younger years he was an avid angler, spending countless hours at Indian Arm Pond and of course "Bob's Rock" named aptly after him and his talent for landing salmon. He was and still continues to be an inspiration to us all. A strong and proud man who will be sorely missed, he loved nothing more than sitting an chatting with a drink and a game of cribbage, which he did regularly with all of his family. Goodbye "Bobby" you will always have a place in our hearts.

He was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Julia Rose; wife, Margaret R. Rose; brothers, Sam and George; special cousin, Isaac Davis; son-in-law, Roy Rose. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters, Julia (David) Eveleigh, Ruth Rose; grandchildren, Robert (Christine) Freake, Peter (Tammy) Eveleigh, Adam (Valerie) Freake, Andrew Freake, Lucas (Monique) Eveleigh; great-grandchildren, Haylee Freake, Jenna Eveleigh, Carter Freake, Nathan Eveleigh, Titus Freake, Keira Eveleigh, Declan Eveleigh; sisters, Mary Kettle, Rev.
