Passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, Mrs. Rita Rebecca Jane Layden, age 90 years of Lewisporte, NL.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Layden; sons, Clayton and Freeman ; parents, Norman and Elizabeth Layden; brothers, Henry and Don.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters, Nancy (David) Ballman, Denise Harris; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Paul) Levesque, David (Chantal) Ballman, Alischia Taylor, Jaylen Taylor, Aniyah Harris; great grandchildren, Olivia Marie Levesque, Gabriel Ballman, Zoe Ballman and Amarri Dalton; sister, Margaret (Eric) Osmond; brother, George (Lois) Layden; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

The funeral service will take place from the St. Matthew's United Church, Lewisporte, NL on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 2PM. Interment will follow from the St. Matthew's United Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the St. Matthew's United Church memorial fund.
