Passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL on Thursday December 29, 2016, Mr. Raymond Stanley Head, age 85 years of Comfort Cove.

He is predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Clara Head; brothers, Willis and Martin Head; sisters, Mary Cull and Sadie French; brothers-in-law, Albert Oake and Desmond French; nephew, Chesley Cull; niece, Joceylyn Lane.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his wife, Phoebe; brother, Gerald (Kathleen); sister, Priscilla Oake; sisters-in-law, Jean and Ruby Head; special niece, Madeline Elliott and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm and Saturday, December 31, 2016 from the United Church, Comfort Cove,, NL from 2-4pm & 7-9 pm.


The funeral service took place from the United Church, Comfort Cove on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 2 pm. The interment followed from The United Church Cemetery, Comfort Cove.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory were made to Comfort Cove United Church Cemetery Fund.
