Passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL, Mr. Alfred Owen Jacobs, aged 76 years.

Owen was a chartered member of the Kinsmen Club of Notre Dame, K40s and the Masonic Lodge.

He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Bertha Jacobs; parents-in-law, Joshua and Mildred Short; brother, Ross Jacobs; brother-in-law, Ashton Short;  sisters-in-law, Dawn Jacobs, Nita Short and Bridget Short.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his wife, Joan; sons, Stefan (Dawn) and Jody (Genista); grandchildren, Payton, Clara and Finn;  brothers, Lorne and Gene (Ruth); brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Gloria), Bond (Gladys), Wayne (Kate), Doug, Rod (Collette); sisters-in-law, Donna, Florence (Merlin) and Diane (Gary); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

The funeral service took place from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte, NL on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2 PM.

The interment followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund will be gratefully accepted.
