Passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Lakeside Home, Gander, NL, Mrs. Nina Lush, age 86 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, Leslie; parents, Stanley and Annie Chappell; children, Barbara, Norma; siblings, Eva Cooper, Kate Elliott, George Chappell, Sadie Greenham and Viola Jean Boyd.

Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Nelson John, Ruth (Ray Swyers), Leslie (Barbara), Golda (Robert Rice), Paul (Patricia), Michelle (Samuel Saunders); grandchildren, Terri Dawn (Johnathon), Lilith, Grant (Rene), Jennifer, Gennie, Shasta, Samantha, Madison, Alaina, Johnathon, Mark, Jake and Katie; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Corrina, Jasper, Hannah, Victoria, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Lana and Leia; great-great-granddaughter, Amelia; sister, Hazel Gaulton; nieces, nephews, whom she loved dearly and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Nina Chappell was born in Kettle Cove to Stanley and Annie Chappell. Her pastime as a child was playing house and sliding on the snow hills with her brother, sisters and friends.

As a young woman she moved to Stephenville where she met Leslie Lush. They were married on February 7, 1950.
Nina loved to read and write poetry. She enjoyed collecting postcards from her family and friends from around the world. One of her favorite things to do was spend time in her garden tending to the flowers.

Nina was an avid reader and her favorite book was the Bible. She was devoted to her family and prayed faithfully for them every day. She will always be a blessing and a treasure to her 6 children, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild who love and miss her.

Public visitation took place from the Pentecostal Church, Glenwood on Thursday, June 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service took place from the Church on Friday, June 5th at 2 PM.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Gideons or Christians for Israel were gratefully accepted.
