It is with sadness that the families of the late Nina Elizabeth Freake announce her passing on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, age 99 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eli; parents, Mark and Rose Hollett; sons, Eric and Gordon; daughter, Phyllis; grandson, Lorne; great-granddaughter, Melissa; siblings, Baxter, Ambrose, Eric, George, Nelson, Amelia Freake, Flossie Slade, Kate Hollett; sons-in-law, Enos Beaton and Oscar Sparkes.

Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Joan Beaton, Melinda Sparkes, Wilson (Gloria), Willis (June), Marlene (Vince Marshall), Ruby Freake whom she resided with; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Stephen (Jean); daughter-in-law, Diana Freake and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation took place from the Pentecostal Church, Norris Arm North on Saturday, December 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service took place from the church on Sunday, December 7th at 2 PM with Pastor Nathaniel Osmond officiating. Interment followed from the Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation were gratefully accepted.
