Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family,Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mrs. Muriel Juanita (Mollie) Blundon, aged 98 years of Carmenville, NL.
Mollie was born in Musgrave Harbour on October 3rd, 1916 to Walter and Maude Guy. At the age of one year, her father died and she went to Carmanville to live with her aunt and uncle, Phoebe and Enos Hicks.
She married Arch Blundon in 1936. Together, they raised two sons and six daughters.
Mollie is predeceased by her husband, Arch; son, Harry; son-in-law, Wayne and two granddaughters, Jillian & Sarah.
Left to mourn her passing with loving memories are her daughters, Margaret (Eric), Kay (Jack), Fern (Larry), Bonnie (Doug), Cynthia (Gary), Dianne; son, Steve (Doris); thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude; brothers, Claude, Clayton and families and a large circle of friends.
Public visitation took place from Emmanuel United Church, Carmenville on Wednesday, May 27th from 7-9 PM and Thursday, May 28th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
The funeral service took place from the Emmanuel United Church, Carmanville on Friday May 29th at 2 PM. Interment followed from the United Church Cemetery, Carmenville, NL.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Emmanuel United Church Memorial Fund, Carmenville, NL were gratefully accepted.
