Passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Lewisporte Health Center, Lewisporte, NL, Mrs. Martha Elizabeth (Pardy) Hancock, age 79 years of Laurenceton. She is predeceased by her 1st husband, Alex Pardy; 2nd husband, Stanley Hancock; parents, Ambrose and Isabella Canning; brothers, Harvey (Mela) Canning and Maxwell (Elizabeth) Canning; brother-in-law, Raymond Combden.

Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Myrtle Pardy (Jim Oake), Marina (Dwight Hewlett), Nancy (Keith Loveys), Christopher (Linda) Pardy, Paul (Karen) Pardy; grandchildren, David Snow, Matthew (Erin) Snow, Kristin Hewlett (Gordon McArthur), Gregory Hewlett, Danny Laking, Lisa Pardy, Mark Pardy, Annabel Pardy, Katherine Pardy and Alexis Pardy; great-grandchildren, Liam Laking, Devlin Laking and Allison Snow; sister, Laura Combden and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation took place from the Pentecostal Church, Laurenceton on Tuesday, April 5th and Wednesday, April 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service took place from the church on Thursday, April 7th at 2 PM. The interment took place from the Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Laurenceton.
