Margaret Frances
Mcdonald
Apr 23, 1925 — Jun 8, 2020
Passed away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, June 8, 2020, Mrs. Margaret Frances McDonald, age 95 years.
Mom was one of six children born to Frank and Mary Beaton. On the passing of her mother early in life, Margaret lovingly helped raise her youngest brother, Francis. On June 20, 1949, she married Dad, Fred McDonald and together they raised 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys. Mom loved all things outdoors, berry picking, rabbit catching, fishing, boil-ups, swimming and skating but her pride and joy was her cabin, which she helped Terry build. It was named "The Grannie Flat" and what times was had there. If Mom was away from home for any amount of time, we knew she was at the cabin probably fishing.
Memories of Mom will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her forever.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; parents, Frank and Mary Beaton; son, Garry; siblings, Angela (Eve), Marie, Alfred; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth. Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Bonnie (Terry Stuckless), Frederick, Lynda (James Langdon), Jerome (Debbie), Cindy (Ron Vickers); grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan, Roxanne, Roger, Hollie, Lee, Matthew, Mason and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Colby, Lucas, Paul, Nicholas, Adam, Ronnie-Lynn, Jayden and Ava; 3 great- great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Loretta); brother-in-law, Dave Schumph and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
In light of the current coronavirus pandemic, there will be no public visitation or Funeral Service. All services will remain private for family only.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund, Norris Arm will be gratefully accepted.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
