It is with sadness that the families of the late Malcolm Leslie Bennett announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer at the James Paton Memorial, Gander, NL, aged 79 years.
Malcolm leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Rosie; children, Boyce (Daphne); Sandra (Gordon) Goulding, Lorin (Sharon), Hayward (Faith), Rosalyn (Edward) Vismantas, Beverly (Eugene) Woodford, Evelyn (Dennis) Webb, Kathleen (Dean) Kinden; Gonzo (Sandra), & Lori; grandchildren, Darryl, Darren, Darrell, Clarence, Shane, Brian, Sheena, Allyson, Mervyn, Andrew, Ashley, April, Olivia, Tyler, & Riley; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Hurid (Phyllis), Gertie, Freeman (Winnie), & Beulah (Russell); sister-in-laws, Faye, Ivy (Calvin); brother in law, Ross (Olive).
Malcolm is predeceased by his parents, Chesley & Bertha;grandchild, Jodie Marie Bennett; brothers, Perry, & Wilbert; brother-in-law Frank.
The public visitation will take place Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 7-9 pm, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Evangel Pentecostal Church, 57 Elizabeth Drive, Gander, NL.
The funeral service will take place Friday, September 11, 2015 at 2 pm from Evangel Pentecostal Church, Gander, NL with Pastor Ralph Benson officiating. The interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Gander, NL. Pallbearers are: Sons, Boyce, Lorin, Hayward, & Gonzo; grandsons, Darryl, & Brian.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Central Northeast Health Foundation Palliative Care Unit.
