Obituary

Passed  peacefully into the waiting arms of her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday night, January 9, 2019, Lucy Gladys Clarke, lifelong resident of Lewisporte. She was surrounded by her family and lots of love, as well as the loving thoughts of those of her family members who were not able to be here with her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Elisha and Meta Milley; sister, Marjorie and brother, Don.

Lucy leaves to mourn her loss, and to celebrate her life, her husband of sixty-six years, Bram; son Barry (Phyllis), grandson, Jared (Susan) & great-granddaughters Emma & Leslie; granddaughter Marsha (Gerard); son, Wally (Debbie), grandson, Todd (Susan), grandson, Trevor (Laura) and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Michael, grandson TJ (Jordan) & great-grandchildren, Brock, Keira & Noah; granddaughter, Crystal & grandson Evan; son, Sandy (Jennifer) & grandson Ryan; son, Brill, granddaughter Melissa (Adam) & great-grandsons, Alex & Andrew; daughter, Roxanne; grandson, Jeremy & granddaughter, Abby. She is also mourned by many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.

Lucy was born in Exploits, and moved with her family to Lewisporte at the age of five. Here she grew up, met and married Bram, raised her family of four sons and one daughter. For many years they resided in the North Haven Manor cottages and in latter years needed the assistance of home care workers of which two, Jennifer Stuckless and Marie King, became like family. In March of 2018, both Bram and Lucy moved into Pleasantview Manor where they were blessed with another wonderful family of caregivers and friends.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 7-9 PM and Saturday, January 12 th , 2019 from 2-4 PM.

The funeral service will take place from the Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte on Sunday, January 13 th , 2019 at 2 PM. The interment will follow from the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

No Flowers by request. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army Church, Lewisporte would be greatly appreciated.
