Obituary

Leslie Robert Jeans entered this world October 14, 1969, the son of Robert and Lydia Jeans of Change Islands, NL.

After leaving school he fished with his parents for a number of years until the fishery took a downhill turn. He then spent some years in Alberta working in the construction business. He had no formal training but he quickly learned the tricks of the trade like most Newfoundlanders. He also worked on a large cattle farm for a period of time. His last years were spent here in the province where he worked at the fish plant and as a flag person around the area. One of his best interest was in the kitchen where he took extreme care in following the recipe to the letter resulting in a perfect meal. This was confirmed on Mother's Day when a cheese cake was found that he lovingly prepared for his Mom the day before his passing.

On Friday, May 7, 2021 Leslie quickly passed in to eternity as the result of a terrible vehicle accident. His many friends were shocked to hear of his untimely passing.

He was predeceased by his infant baby sister, and all of his grandparents.

He leaves to mourn with loving memories his parents, Robert & Lydia; brother, Gregory (who was always there for Leslie); his girlfriend, Diane Cassell (whom he had an unquenchable love for); two uncles, Samuel Leyte and Dexter Jeans (Margaret); two Aunts, Jeanette Power and Martha Diamond; nephew and niece, Daniel and Abigail and a number of cousins and friends far and wide.

Leslie you left too soon....you will be forever missed.

The funeral services took place Saturday, May 15, 2021. The interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Change Islands, NL.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gordon Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
