Passed peacefully away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. Leslie Roy Barrow, age 71 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Hazel Barrow; siblings, Eric, Harvey, Chesley, George, Albert, Gilbert, Ada , Gladys, Ethel, Ann;  best friend, Norma Morgan.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his siblings, Frederick, Daniel, Shirley, Lillian, Grace and a large circle of family and friends.

Known to many as Roy, he was one of the gentlest caring souls and will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.  A lover of animals, his baby (cat) Luna, a true fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.  He also loved playing card games with his friends, enjoyed berry picking, and nature. His laugh was bigger than he was and his smile contagious

A special thank you to the nurses and doctors, for the care of our sweet uncle, and to all the friends and family who visited him at his time in hospital he truly appreciated it he felt loved and you all made him feel special.

Public Visitation will take place from Bethel Full Gospel Tabernacle, Carmanville, NL on Sunday June 28, 2026 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.

The Funeral Service will take place from the Bethel Full Gospel Tabernacle, Carmanville, NL on Monday June 29, 2026 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Carmanville, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Gander SPCA or Cancer society will be gratefully accepted.
