Obituary

On October 29th, 2024, Leah Pollard a true Christian passed peacefully away into the presence of her Lord and Saviour at the Health Science Center, St. John's, NL, with her loving family by her side.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Julia Cassell; daughter, Michelle Pollard; sister, Gladys Cassell. Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories is her husband of 60 years, Pleaman; children, Brian Pollard (Tanya); daughter, Jennifer Pollard; grandchildren, Kaneesha, Samantha (Nancy), Chantelle (Jorge), Alyssa (Jaxon), Jaydon, Alexander and his dad Jamie; great grandchildren, Leah & Anna, Bjorn and a large circle of family and friends.

Leah was born in Williamsport, NL. She married the love of her life Pleaman August 13th , 1964. They both lived in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL from 1962- 1998, and then moved to Lewisporte.

Leah was kind, caring and welcoming to every one she encountered with her warm loving smile. In her spare time you would catch Leah either out in her garden planting her flowers, knitting, and reading, visiting her close friends and at Tim Hortons with her special friend Muriel. The real social butterfly like she was. When she moved to Kingsway Living Retirement Home, Lewisporte, NL, you would see her attending all the activities with her friends that she truly enjoyed.

One thing she dearly loved was being surrounded by her family whom she loved dearly.

Leah will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends from both Happy Valley Goose Bay and Lewisporte.

She will always be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful smile and her joyous spirit.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL, on Friday, November 1st, 2024 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM.

The funeral service will take place from the Philadelphia Pentecostal Church, Lewisporte, NL, on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at 11AM. Interment will follow at the Philadelphia Pentecostal Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy flowers or donations can be made to the Cancer Society in her memory will be gratefully accepted.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
