Passed away suddenly at his home in Lewisporte, NL on March 8, 2021, Kyle Keeping, at the age of 66. He will be forever remembered and missed by his wife, Olga, and his daughter, Julia, whom he dearly loved. Kyle was predeceased by his father, Eugene Keeping, and his father-in-law, Titus Whiteway.
Leaving to mourn his passing are his mother, Ada Keeping of Laurenceton; his sisters, Christine (Gerald Pardy) and Velna (Kent Bailey); and his brothers, Mervin (Debbie) and Craig (Renae). Also mourning his passing are his mother-in-law, Rose Whiteway; brothers-in-law, Murray Whiteway (Sheila), Oral, Terry (Angela), Smith (Janice); and sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Carl Saunders) and Gail (Daniel Huang). He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a wide circle of friends and relatives.
Kyle was a kind and steady soul. He was a teacher for 30 years and retired in 2001 to spend his time following his passion for golfing in the summertime and skiing in the wintertime. His happiest golfing moment was winning the club championship in 2018. An avid golfer, he played many rounds at the Gander Golf Club and he will be missed greatly by his golfing buddies.
In light of the current coronavirus pandemic, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. All services will remain private for family only.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Gander and Area SPCA or the Central North East Health Foundation in support of the Mental Health and Addictions Programs would be gratefully accepted.
