Passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at his residence in Norris Arm North, Mr. Kaywood Henry Menchenton (aka, Special K), age 61 years.
Kaywood finished High School, moved to Ontario in 1973 where he worked and lived; married his wife, Susan and they had 2 children, daughter, Lisa and son, Michael. He moved back to NL in 2004 and bought the old family homestead.
His sense of humor and his love for his family and his guitar was always with him. He was hard working and a very loving man who was loyal to his family and his church. He was someone who would help anyone, anytime, anywhere. He volunteered with the Norris Arm North Recreation Committee as well as the Fire Department.
He is predeceased by his parents, Melinda and John Menchenton; mother-in-law, Gladys Winch; sister-in-law, Hilda; brother-in-law, Eli Osmond.
Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his wife, Susan(nee, Winch); daughter, Lisa; son, Michael; sisters, Rowena (Ross Head), Vera (Val Head), Pansy Osmond, Madeline (Wayne Rideout), Marjorie (Carl Gaulton), Doreen (Don Clarke); brothers, George, Pleman (Joan), John (Debbie), Milton (Marina), Alex (Lillian); father-in-law, Michael (Lylia); sisters-in-law, Debbie Winch (Brueno), Carol (John Morris) and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Public visitation took place from the Pentecostal Church, Norris Arm North on Tuesday, July 28th from 7-9 PM and Wednesday, July 29th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service took place on Thursday, July 30th at 2 PM. Interment followed from the Pentecostal Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision or a Charity of One`s Choice was gratefully accepted.
