Passed peacefully away on November 22, 2021 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. Kaywood George Canning of Newstead in his 79 ^th year.

Left behind with cherished memories are his wife of 57 years, Vivian Canning;  his devoted children: sons, Colin, Shawn, Jeffrey (Shelley), Bradley, & Gerry (Lorena); daughter, Kayla (Kent Brett); his cherished grandchildren, Amy (Keith Baker), Hayley, Lucas, Owen, Logan, Cash & Claire;  sisters-in-law, Doris (Levi Quinlan), Nina (Bramwell Whitt), & Joy (Jordan Bennett);  brothers-in-law, Dalton (Diane Blake) & Garfield (Lynette Blake); as well as a numbers nieces, nephews & a wide circle of extended family and friends.

Kaywood was predeceased by his father, Archibald Canning;  mother, Mary Jones;  brothers, Clancy (Mildred) & Llewellyn (Emily);  sisters, Dorcas (Mark Seward), Bertha (Harvey King), & Ulah (Moody Brentnall); father and mother-in-law, Baxter and Annie Blake;  daughter-in-law, Eileen Canning (wife of Colin).

Kaywood was in every aspect of his life, a farmer.  He loved the land; every blade of grass, every plant that grew.  He once remarked that he loved to watch the new plants blowing in the wind, it looked like the plants were praising God. He started his own farm in 1969 called Country Farms.  Kaywood spent the majority of his time on the farm but not on Sundays, as it was the Lord's day.  He farmed up until his last days, despite slowing down in recent years.  Rest easy Kaywood and enjoy the beautiful gardens in heaven.

We are forever thankful and blessed to have been led by such a hard working and dedicated father.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pentecostal Cemetery Fund, Comfort Cove-Newstead, NL.

Public visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Church, Campbellton on Thursday, November 25, 2021 from 2-5 PM.

The funeral service will take place from the Pentecostal Church on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 2 PM.  Vax passes will be required upon arrival. The interment will take place from the Pentecostal Cemetery, Comfort Cove-Newstead, NL
