Obituary

Passed peacefully away at her home in Norris Arm, NL ,with her family by her side, Mrs. Judy Hanlon, aged 75 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Vera Walker; siblings, Melvin, Jennie, Harry (Frances); brother-in- law, Bob Froude.

Judy's greatest love was her family and the absolute thing she cherished- her husband Tom of 53 years and her children Tina (Gary), Terri-Lynn (Stephen) and Troy (Tracey). However, the absolute pride, joy and light of her life were her grandchildren; Lexie, Kelsey, Tyson, Madison, Toni Lee and Maiya. She loved watching them grow, thrive, accomplish and learn. Through all ages and stages of their lives she supported and encouraged them.

Judy was a prominent member of her church and its community. Her faith always provided her with hope and a positive outlook, even during extremely challenging times and unbearable obstacles throughout her illness.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, compassion, understanding, respect and commitment. Always incorporating these values in everything she did. She was extremely altruistic and helping and supporting others came natural to her.

Also leaving to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her siblings, Yvonne Froude, Linda (Pat Power), Tommy (Juanita), Garry (Tracie), Gordon (Kelly), Christine (Perry Higgins), Norma (John Lewis), Dean: as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from the Riverside United Church, Norris Arm, NL on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 7-9 PM and on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

The funeral service will take place from Riverside United Church, Norris Arm, NL, on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 2 PM. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow.

As expressions of sympathy donations to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, Grand Falls-Windsor or to the Riverside United Church, Norris Arm will be gratefully accepted.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and her community. She made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, and for those fortunate enough to have known or met her were better for it. Rest in peace to the very best wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. You have earned your eternal wings.
