Passed away peacefully at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL on March 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends, John Archibald Hodder, at the age of 70.

Predeceased by his wife of 30 years, Marion (Francis) Hodder; father, Archibald Moores; sister, Bessie; father & mother in-law, Eric & Mary Francis.

Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories to cherish forever, his son, Blair & wife Tina; his one and only granddaughter, Cara who he loved and adored beyond measure;  mother, Dorothy Hodder; brothers & sisters, Gertie, Edna, Lydia, Graham, Joan. Ralph, Geraldine, Morris, Jessie and their families. As well as brothers & sisters on his father's side; Harvey, Lloyd, Ron, Joan; Also left with beautiful memories, his partner Maureen Bryan; her mother, Alice; her daughter, Susan (Leon) Wheaton; grandson, Jaden(Hilary); baby, Macie; granddaughter, Carley, and  other extended family.

John grew up in a large and loving family in Glenwood and his brothers and sisters were also his buddies sharing many good times and adventures. In earlier years he enjoyed time spent in the great outdoors, at his cabin and was most happy salmon fishing on the Gander River.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life and interment will take place at a later date.

As expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
