Passed suddenly and peacefully away at home with her husband by her side on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, Mary Galia Joan (Snow) Williams, age 81  years.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Ann Snow, close family, Terry Janes, Clement and Jessie Snow, Pearce and Gertrude Snow, Thomas and Ella Snow, Richard and Barbara Snow, Nellie and Samuel Nicholas, Julia (Snow) and Jack Stuckless , Althea and Allan Kaiser, Vivian and William Pope and Winnie and Archie Thornhill.

Leaving to mourn, her husband and best friend of 59 years, Calvin; Her daughters, Heather (Jeff) Chaulk, and Charlene Gould; Grandchildren, Denise (Rahul Robert Roy), Megan Gould, Andrew and Matthew Chaulk; Great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Wesley Gould and Zara Roy; Sister, Janette (Cyril Peckford); Close family, Flossie (Late Raymond) Pardy, Maxine Janes, Chesley (Late Daisy) Williams, Eric (Elaine) Williams, and Neil (June) Williams and a circle of wonderful nieces and nephews.

Joan taught grade 4 for many years and retired in June of 1990. During her 30 years of teaching she inspired many young minds.

She loved her family dearly and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. Joan loved nothing more than to travel, even if it was to just go for a ride around town in her later years.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Masks will be required upon entry.

The funeral service will take place at the St. Matthew's United Church, Lewisporte, NL on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2PM. The interment will follow at the St. Matthew's United Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.
