It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Hoddinott (nee King) at Humber River Hospital on November 25, 2020 in her 85th year.

She was soulmate to her husband Jim for 65 years; a devoted mother to Linda (John), Kevin(Michelle) and Garry(Tracey); cherished nana to Michael, Katie, Clayton, Cameron and Allysa; predeceased sister to Verna, Marie, Melvin, Wallace and Boyce; Aunt to Gloria, Sheila, Sandra, Gail, Glen, Roy, Debbie and Jeffrey. Joan was her happiest being a housewife, mother and grandmother and taking care of her family. Her happiest times were summers spent at her cottage in Newfoundland. We want to thank all of the wonderful nurses and doctors and all at Humber Hospital who took care of our mom in the last stages of her life. Your caring made so much difference. Due to COVID-19 restrictions she will be buried on December 15, 2020 in Embree, Newfoundland.
