Passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Lewisporte Health Centre, Lewisporte, Mr. Jerome Hefferan, aged 70 years of Birchy Bay.

He was predeceased by his parents, Peter & Sarah Hefferan; siblings, Bill, Tom(Barbara), Madonna, Mary (Fred Mills); parents –in-law, Clayton & Gladys Mews; brother-in-law, Boyd Mews.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his wife, Ida; children, Joey (Cindy), Terrilyn (Mike), Tanis (Trevor); grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Daniel, Greg, Meghan (Brett), Joshua, Thomas, Andrew; sister, Linda (Don Lynch) and a large circle of family and friends.

Jerome was loved by everyone who met him. Jerome married the love of his life, who he called "Best of the Best" Ida on July 13, 1973. He was a hard dedicated worker; he spent 35 years with CN Railway. Retired in 2009 and then went to work with Scotia Glen Camp until 2016. He had a heart of gold, he was a man of integrity and he gave the best hugs that were full of love.

The family would like to thank the staff of North Haven Manor for their care and compassion.

The public visitation will take place from Beacon Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, on Sunday, September 26th from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM following COVID government regulations. The funeral service will take place from the Church on Monday, September 27th at 2 PM for invited guest only. The interment will take place at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Birchy Bay.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
