Obituary

Passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, Mrs. Janet Potter, age 72 years of Laurenceton.

She was predeceased by her parents, Reuban and Flora;  son, Ross; sister, Carrie and brother, David. Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her husband, Raymond; children, Whyman (Diane), Merlin (Sheila) and Rhonda (Reno); grandchildren, Brandon, Lorisa, Cassandra, Kayla, Colton, Colin and Christopher;  great-grandchildren, Mila-Rose, Raelynn, Malorie, Mia and Morley; step-brother, Malcolm White; sisters, Patsy (Calvin French) and Linda Picard;  brother, Charlie Warren and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Church, Laurenceton on Thursday, June 6 th from 7-9 PM and Friday, June 7 th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  The Funeral Service will take place from the Pentecostal Church, Laurenceton on Saturday, June 8 th at 2PM.  Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Laurenceton.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Bethel Pentecostal Church Cemetery Fund, Laurenceton will be gratefully accepted.

Janet was born in Little Burnt Bay to Vina Dorothy Snow on January 23, 1947.  She was raised by her grandmother and her husband, Reuban and Flora L. White.  In July 1965, she married Raymond Potter.  Then she moved to Laurenceton and together they raised four children, Whyman (Diane), Merlin (Sheila), Rhonda (Reno) and Ross.  Ross predeceased her January 1, 2017.
