Janet (Brinson) Bath, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Gander Bay South on Monday, January 23, 2023, surrounded by members of her loving family.
Janet was born in Beaver Cove, NL to James and Priscilla Brinson on December 23, 1931. Janet was a homemaker, a member of Riverside United Church Women, a member of Women's Institute and Janet was the organist for Riverside United Church for 30 plus years. Janet was the corner stone of her family. Anyone who visited would have a cup of tea and a lunch.
Left to mourn her passing and to celebrate her life are her children, sons, Glen (Mallisa), Larry (Marilyn), Ray (Linda), Brooks (Crystal), Jim (Kelly), Kirby, Dale (Janice); daughters, Goldie (John Coaker), Gaye (Joe Small), Florence, Patsy, Barbara; 18 Grandchildren; 15 Great- Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great- Grandchildren. Sisters, Winnie (Hayward) Joyce; brother, Guy (Barb); sisters-in-law, Sadie, Ivy and Marie;
Janet was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Bath; son, baby Wesley; parents James and Priscilla Brinson; Sisters, Jessie, Flossie and Betty; brothers, Boman, Alvin, Oswald, Donny, George, Chesley and Eugene; grandsons, baby Kyle and Shane Francis; great grandson, baby Matthew; great granddaughter,Jenna; Daughter-in-law Ruth Bath; sons-in-law, Randy Powell and Cordell Francis; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Brinson, Rita Brinson, Mildred Brinson, Elsie Tulk, Nina Clarke, Genevieve Gillingham, Isabelle Brinson, and Veronica Bath; brothers-in-law, Reginald Bath, Leslie Gillingham, Earnest Hodder, Hughie Clarke, Lee Bath, Oswald Tulk and Herman Alinsangan.
The family is thankful for a Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She was very special to all of us. She touched us all in a very special way. She will always remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
She will be sadly missed by a large number of nieces, nephews, large circle of family and friends.
Memories keep those we love close to us forever.
The family visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, followed by a public visitation on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Riverside United Church, Gander Bay South, NL.
The funeral service will take place at the Riverside United Church, Gander Bay South, NL on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at the Riverside United Church Cemetery, George's Point, Gander Bay South, NL.
The family would like to especially thank Nancy Gates ( Nurse Practitioner and Home Dementia Care) for her support and care over the past few months, also to Greg Banfield (Palliative Care Nurse with Central Health), Sue Ellen Dawe and Amanda Parsons (Continuing Care Nurses), Victoria Cove Clinic and Dr. Seety with St. Mary's Clinic for their compassionate care over the past year.
