Passed away on Tuesday, September  4, 2018 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. James (Jim) Ronald Ryan Sr., aged 84 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Toots); parents, Jeremiah & Margaret Ryan; sisters, Carrie & Betty;  brothers-in-law, Jim Kent & Delbert Seabrook;  nephews, Valentine Kent & James Kent.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his children, Sheree (Frank), Jim (Winna), Darren (Corrina), Dave (Charlene); grandchildren, Sonya (Andrew), Jamie (Jess), Natasha (Daryl), Bobby, Shane (Stephanie), Hope (Jeremy), Andrew, & Jesse; great-grandchildren, Zackery, Suri, Mason, Madeline, Jack, Anna, & Sage; siblings, Patrick (Joy), Mary (Ray), Marion, & Peggy (Lyle); sisters-in-law, Annie, Donna (Freeman), & Bonnie (Robert);  brothers-in-law, Dexter (Lorraine), Larry; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.

A private funeral service for family & close friends took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte, NL on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2 PM.  The interment followed at St.Matthews United Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers accepted or donations in him memory were made to the Lewisporte Fire Rescue.
