Passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Pastor Junior Peckford, age 81 years.

Junior served 50 of those years with the PAONL. He served the Lord faithfully after having a born again experience at the age of 16.  He had a heart for Ministry, Church, Community and Missions. He loved his family and especially the time spent with them in the outdoors. He had a great sense of humor. His hobbies included reading, hunting, salmon fishing, carpentry and repairing small motors. He was greatly loved by all and will be dearly missed.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dorman and Ethel Peckford; son, Lindy; siblings, Ruby, Juanita (Bob), Louise (Neil), Beulah (Walter), Melvin, Roy, Joan (Lambert) and son-in-law, Junior.

Left to mourn his passing with many fond and loving memories are his wife, Lucy; children, Lenora (Winston Reid), Leroy (Dale), Andy (Amanda), Janice (Chris Gillard); grandchildren, Silas, James (Courtney), Andrea (Adam), Amy (James), Jane and Julia; great-grandchildren, Finley and Apollo; sister-in-law, Audrey and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Church, Stoneville on Saturday, May 30th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  The Funeral Service will take place from the church on Sunday, May 31st at 2 PM.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to Offerama (World Missions) will be gratefully accepted.
