Passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. Howard Eliol Sheppard, age 90 years.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his children, Peggy Caines, Dianne Coish, Alvin (Eileen), Dona Mayer, Janet Sheppard (Amy Crook);  grandchildren, Gregory (Amy), Stephanie (Karsten), Ryan (Melanie), Sheldon (Jennifer), Samantha (Brandon), Meghan (Wesley), Christian, Joseph, Alexandra, Sterling and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Jackson, Tianna, Lily, Maveryck, Ryder, Lexie and Matthew; sister, Doris (Bob Anthony);  brother-in-law, Lloyd Hewitt and a large circle of Family and Friends.  Special thanks to Pleasantview Manor's staff and the large circle of friends that Howard made there during his stay.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl;  parents, Stanley and Mary Sheppard;  daughter, Patsy Mcleod; siblings, Verley Hewitt, Amos Sheppard and Neil Sheppard;  sons-in-law, Boyd Coish and Jerry Mayer.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place from St. Matthews United Church, Lewisporte, NL on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 2 PM.  Interment will follow from St. Matthews United Church Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully accepted.
