Passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL, Mrs. Hazel Mabel Curlew, age 92 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Angus Ted Curlew;  parents, Simon and Phoebe Hewitt;  children, David, Roy and Corena;  siblings, Myrtle Nichol, Harold Hewitt, William Hewitt, Adam Hewitt, Bonnie Combden and Jessie Brett.

Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Karen (Brian Pike), John (Wanda), Brian (Elaine), Melanie (Ken Tucker), Paul (Tammy), Paulette (Todd Maye);  Grandchildren, Kenny (Nicole), Susan (Tim), Chad (Cyndi), Jody (Jennifer), Janine (Andrew), Stacey (Steve), Melissa, Rebecca, Victoria, Angus (Victoria), Aimee, Hannah;  16 great-grandchildren;  daughters-in-law, Diane and Linda Curlew; siblings, Sarah Hewitt, Alma Tucker, Gertrude Tilley and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Monday, February 20 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  The funeral service will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, NL on Tuesday, February 21  at 2 PM.  Interment will follow at St. Matthews United Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Matthews Cemetery Fund will be gratefully accepted.
