Passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. Harvey Coates, age 100 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl; parents, Enos and Martha Coates; son, Rhyburn Coates; siblings, Myrtle (Henry), Winnie (Harvey), Gertie (Howard), Olive and Victor; daughter-in-law, Dulcie; brothers-in-law, Overton Squires and Harvey Coates.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his children, Joyce (Guy LeDrew), Overton (Beulah), Verna (Bill Cutler), Gregory, Roxanne (Paul Head) and Craig (Pamela);  daughter-in-law, Marilyn Coates; grandchildren, Kimberley, Corey, Todd, Darrell, Colleen, Pamela, Danny, Melissa, Crystal, Miranda, Scotty, Cavelle, Keon, Keith, Tyler and Jordan; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Squires and Josephine Coates; Homecare workers, Della Head and Tammara Hodder;  card buddies, Rhonda Bauld, Angela Hodder, Melvina Head and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Church, Wings Point on Thursday, November 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  The Funeral Service will take place from the Church on Friday, November 7th at 2 PM.  Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Wings Point.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Pentecostal Church Cemetery Fund, Wings Point will be gratefully accepted.
