Obituary

Passed peacefully away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL. Mrs. Grace Tetford of Laurenceton, NL at the age of 85 years.

She married Selby Tetford, December 1965 and together they raised one son.

She served the lord faithfully and enjoyed attending many church events. She also enjoyed attending the many outings and community events, no matter where she had to travel. She loved the many gatherings with family, even travelling to Ontario to spend time with her loved ones.

Her favorite pastime was knitting, reading and baking (her jam tarts). She was always there to lend a hand.

Predeceased by her husband, Selby; parents, Peter & Stella May Baker, siblings; Dorman(Olive), Edgar(Eleanor), Ford, Arthur(Flossie), Harold, Hilda(Joseph), Belle (Burt), Janet, Alice(Leslie).

Leaving to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her son, Darrin(Michelle); grandchildren, Shelby(Kevin), April(Emily); sisters-in-law, Edna Baker, Winnie Baker, Silvia Purchase, Stella(George) Tiller, Elsie(Wilford) Langdon; brothers-in-law, Ralph(Olive), Reginald(Ruth), Stanley Humphries and a large circle of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

My family and I would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and management of Pleasantview Manor, for the love and care that was shown to my mom. Also a special thanks to the staff at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, the Bethel Pentecostal Church, Laurenceton and the staff of Gordon Woolfrey Funeral home.

The public visitation will take place from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Laurenceton, NL on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. To attend the visitation the NLVaxPass or documentation of vaccination along with a photo ID will be requested upon arrival.

The funeral service for family and invited guest will take place from the Bethel Pentecostal Church, Laurenceton, NL on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 1 PM.  The NLVaxPass or documentation of vaccination along with a photo ID will be requested upon arrival. The service will be lived streamed for anyone who is unable to attend. The interment will follow at the Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Laurenceton, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation will be gratefully accepted.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
