Passed peacefully away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Tiffany Village Retirement Residence, St. John's, Mr. Goward Heath, age 101 years, formerly from Lewisporte, and a highly respected World War II veteran.

Left to mourn are his 6 loving children, David, Harvey, Neil (Rose), Daisy, Una and John (Marilyn); his wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren (who held a special place in his heart and brought a smile to his face) and a large circle of relatives and friends.

We have all been so blessed to have such a respected, honourable, committed man in our lives for so many years. The stories and memories that he shared will certainly help us through our loss. A visitation will be held at Gordon Woolfrey's Funeral Home,262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Saturday, February 4th from 7 – 9 pm. A celebration of Goward's life will be held on Sunday, February 5th at 2 pm at St. Matthews United Church, Lewisporte. Following the service, interment will be held at the United Church Cemetery.
