Passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. Gordon Stanley Sheppard, age 89 years, of Lewisporte.

He was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Susanna Sheppard; siblings, Ammon, Douglas (Olive), Eli and Alma Whitman; brother-in-law, Stephen Sheppard.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Loretta; children, Velma (Calvert Burry), Christine (Clyde Hillier), Jean (Alonzo Power), Douglas (Claudette); grandchildren, Colette (Mike), Amy (Gerard), Jennette, Brent, Wendy (Craig), Selina (Sheldon), Mark (Michelle), Katie (Jake); great-grandchildren, Emma, Samantha, Maria, Natalie, Leah, Cole, Matthew, Noah, Michael; siblings, Mildred Sheppard, Audrey (Percy Trask), Jean (Kevin Rowe) and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte, NL on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 7-9 PM and Friday, September 25, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

The funeral service took place from St. Matthews United Church, Lewisporte, NL on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2 PM. Interment followed from the United Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Ronald McDonald House, St. John`s was gratefully accepted.
