Passed peacefully away on Saturday November 16, 2024 at his home in Embree, NL, Mr. Gordon Cyril Hoddinott at age 73 years.

On February 24, 1973 he married the love of his life Barbara Perry, whom he met in Toronto, Ont. Together they had 2 children, Richard and Mandy.

Gord loved the outdoors and especially spending time at his cabin on Spruce Island with family and friends.

In 2013, he retired from Bluebird Investments, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL where he worked for some 40 plus years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Naomi Hoddinott; sisters, Daisy Hoddinott and Bernice Hutchings; brothers, Varrick (Baird) Hoddinott and Aubrey Hoddinott.

Left to mourn are his wife Barbara of 51 years; son, Richard (Gail); daughter, Mandy (Phil) Rideout; grandchildren, Riley (Catherine), Cody (Danielle), Shannon (Lucas), Colin (Abigail); one great-grandson, Deacon Hoddinott; sisters, Greta, Phyllis (Kip) Anstey, Alma (Don) Trickett, Judy (Ray) Canning; brothers, Sterling (Viola), John (Cora); sister-in-law, Verna Hoddinott as well as many other relatives and friends.

Public Visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Monday, November 18th  from 2-4 & 7-9PM.

Funeral Service will take place from the Glad Tidings Tabernacle, Embree, NL on Tuesday, November 19th at 1PM. Interment to follow at the Community Cemetery, Embree, NL.
