Passed away on Tuesday March 16, 2021 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. Gilbert Pond, aged 79 years.

Left to mourn his passing are his children, Dianne (Stan Tucker), Danny (Laurie), Lloyd (Denika), Rick (Lynn), Joanne (Jorge Velez); grandchildren, Lisa, Danielle, Kelsey, Ryan, Noah, Joshua, Nikki, Avery and Michael; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Hazel Seward, Loretta Rowsell (Tom), Lloyd (Betty); sister-in-law, Jean; brother-in-law, Gord Toope; the staff at Carmanville Manor, Marina Wheaton; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Archibald and Bessie Pond; siblings, Mervin (Betty), Kathleen (Wesley Wheaton), Ray(Shirley), Marjorie (Martin Earl), Bert, Hayward (Shirley), Phyllis Toope.

Visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 10 AM -11 AM following COVID government regulations.  The funeral service took place March 19, 2021. The interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Frederickton, NL.
