Passed away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, Mr. George "Pappy" Quinlan, age 86 years, formally of Birchy Bay.
He is predeceased by wife, Verna; daughter, Diane, daughter-in-law, Mary Anne; granddaughter-in-law Heidi; parents, Fanny and John Quinlan; sisters, Lucy, Violet, Joyce; brothers, Ray and Willis
Heart broken and mourning his passing, missing his distinguished smile, joking disposition and bright blue eyes are his children, David (Margaret), Duke (Mabel), Brenda (Paul Anderson), Jackie (Paul Wright), Ricky (Lorraine), and Craig (Susie); grandchildren, Michael (Rebekah), Elena (Alvin), Robyn (Chris), Patti (Steve), Charlene (Brian), Ryan, Dwayne (Meagan), Shawn (Laura), Brittany, David(Courtney), Danielle, Venancia, Chance, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are siblings, Evelyn (Lindsey), Elmo (Lottie), Eric (Lorna); sister-in-law, Doris, a large circle of other relatives and too many friends too mention.
Public visitation took place from the Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay on Thursday, May 14th from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.
The funeral service took place on Friday, May 15th at 2 PM. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Birchy Bay. Pallbearers are sons, David, Duke, Ricky, Craig; Grandsons, Michael Quinlan, Ryan Thompson and Dwayne Barnes.
