Passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Mr. George Maye, age 80 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Aubrey and May Maye;  brother-in-law, Melvin Tucker.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his wife of 57 years, Millicent;  children, Christopher (Rowena), Carey (Tara), Casey (Jessica) and Conrad (Barry);  grandchildren, Joshua (Kimberley), Jillian (Dwayne), Alex, Jordyn, Sawyer, Walker, Hunter, Jacob and Victoria;  great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kolbee, Kenley and Jordan; sisters, Betty (Donald Andrews) and Joyce Tucker; his best friends, Roger and Jackie Downton and their sons, Hunter (Jayden)and their son, Levi and Jason, Joshua (Selena) and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Sunday, September 17th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  The Funeral Service will take place from the Philadelphia Pentecostal Church, Lewisporte on Monday, September 18th at 2 PM. Interment will follow from the Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Lewisporte.

A special thank-you to his homecare workers whom he loved to see and hold their hands. Thanks for everything you done for George.
